Role               : SAP HANA Modeler / Consultant

Project                  : ‘SCM Rapid data mart with SAP HANA Database’

This project is a part of the implementation of SAP HANA in-memory Database in the customer’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) area. Rapid Marts in the SCM area covers Inventory, Production Planning, Quality Management and Warehouse Management modules. The current SCM Rapid Data Marts architecture includes extracting data from the SAP and loading into functional data store and development/ customization of Business Objects Universes and Reports. 

The customer has requested to provide a robust mechanism to take care of the development and support of the data services for SCM Rapid Data Mart with SAP HANA in-memory Database in order to improve the performance.

Responsibilities:  

·   As part of the SAP team, worked in the design, development, testing and deployment aspects of the SAP HANA for this project.

·   Created schemas and data provisioned by using BODS Replication Server.

·   Worked on Customization of the SAP SCM Rapid Marts on the SAP HANA Database

·   Worked on all the technical data modeling artifacts; creation of Attribute Views, Analytic Views, and Calculation Views (graphical and scripted).

·   Created master data objects as Attribute views, joined multiple master tables when necessary, selected key figures and attributes to give context to the master data.

·   Worked on SAP HANA SQL scripting in the development of few scripted based calculation view models.

·   Worked closely with the ETL (Data services) team in formulating the source to destination mapping logic and in addressing the data provisioning challenges faced due to a highly heterogeneous nature of the data being sourced from multiple SAP and non-SAP source systems (Oracle) into the SAP HANA database.

·   Unit testing and Formal Integrity testing and reconciliation of the HANA models with the source data.

·   Worked closely with the BO team in trouble shooting and ensuring that BOBJ Reports run seamlessly with the HANA models.

·   Also worked in the security aspects of SAP HANA like creating Analytic Privileges.

Project             : DOTS (Durable Medical equipment ordering & Tracking system)

DOTS, is a California application, is used to order & manage the distribution of Durable Medical equipment (DME) to Kaiser Permanente members across the NCAL & SCAL regions. Business Requests DME DOTS to comply with the federal health care standard to make transition of ICD 9 diagnosis set to the new diagnosis set ICD 10. Modifications to the existing system will focus primarily on updating the system that would enable users to enter in, store, search, and to report and send/receive ICD 10 in the same capacity as it operates for ICD 9.

Responsibilities:

·   Interacted with users to know their business views while gathering the report requirements and provided several report mock-ups to finalize the requirements.

·   Created Technical Specification requirements (use cases, interface specifications) by translating business requirements.

·   Configured the SAP integration kit with BI.

·   Extensively used BEx analyzer to create queries, variables, filters, calculated key figures, restricted key figures, charts and workbooks.

·   Involved in the designing and building of the Universes, Classes and objects for the client requirements.

Project             : Operational Risk Reporting.

PwC is the world’s second largest professional services network of firms in 157 countries and it is one of the big four auditors list: it has mainly 3 major Line of Services: 1) Tax & Auditing, 2) IFRS (Internal Financial & Reporting Services) & 3) Assurance Services.

Operational Risk Reporting tool, this project involves in development of universe from Oracle Database for the Operational Risk Reporting purpose to Create Web Intelligence Reports for the end users. It also includes populating data into the enterprise staging area (Oracle) from SQL Server source tables using Data Stage (ETL). 

Responsibilities:

·   Interacted with Business Users and Managers in gathering business requirements. 

·   The project involved in the development of reports using Business Objects Web Intelligence to cater Ad-hoc reporting needs. 

·   Involved in analyzing, documenting business requirements, functional requirements for developing universes and reports.

·   Involved in complete Architectural Design of BO Xi 3.1 as Global Reporting Portal. 

·   Designed Business Object Universe on top of views which will be pointing to different tables depending upon the load status thus allowing the users to access report at any point of time (by ensuring   data mart availability “24 hours”).

Project        : Research in Motion – APM –Application Performance Monitoring & Reporting.

The BlackBerry Infrastructure Network is made up of several large, key applications which are written in a variety of languages on a variety of platforms. The goal of the APM –Application Performance Monitoring initiative is to roll out a common monitoring framework for these pieces of software which is scalable and usable, and minimizes the need to learn different mechanisms for monitoring different services.

The APM platform uses Ca WilyIntroscope, which collects and interprets metrics collected from the service infrastructure. However, Wily only has native support for Java based applications, and thus any metrics provided by non-Java sources needs another collection mechanism. The goal of this solution is to be that collector; to collect metrics from non-Java sources, and transport them to the APM solution in a scalable and preferment fashion to generate reports by using SAP BO Webi reports.

Responsibilities:

·   Gathered the requirements from business users and designed Report spec, Mock-up, Unit test plan and Factory approach model for Report Deliverables and Resolving the issues raised by client users Preparation of System Manuals

CIBC Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce- CMLIT (CIBC Mortgage and Lending technology) would like to offer the 100% LTV (Loan to Value) on existing CIBC Brand mortgages with (excluding premiums) under specific conditions.  The mortgages that are offered up to and including 100% LTV will be fully insured by Genworth or CMHC, CML’s authorized insurers.  The 100% Loan to Value (LTV) product enhancement will provide qualified homebuyers with the ability to purchase properties with no down payment.  The 100% LTV product enhancement has the potential to deliver significant revenue growth to CIBC, Increase Market share growth more becoming competitive with other mortgage offers.

Responsibilities:     

·   Trained on CIBC Mortgage and lending technologies, so that got an opportunity to learn Canadian Banking policies & terms.

·   Undergone trainings on customer wealth management, credit history, mortgages, personal loans, and third party insurers like Genworth or CMHC etc.,

Project        : XOS (Xerox Office Suite)

The Xerox Office Services (XOS) Software Suite was developed from a base of individual applications designed for use by service organizations to provide client accounts with comprehensive asset management, service support, reporting and problem management tracking. The full set of Software Services tools include: Xerox Device Manager (XDM), Xerox Services Manager (XSM), Xerox Services Portal (XSP) and Xerox Report Manager (XRM).

The major benefit of this integration is that all of the data associated with account management now resides within a single database.  By doing this, several problems associated with account management such as multiple sign-on across applications, cross company reporting, data synchronization and more have been resolved

Responsibilities:     

·   Defining, monitoring and controlling the Testing activities and leading a team of 9 test engineers.

Services Information Repository is a reporting application built by using data warehouse technology, application accessed by 35,000 users in Microsoft across the world .The Data warehouse is sourced from three upstream systems, Change point, RPM and Feed store that caters to Microsoft’s need for Project Accounting, Task, Resource and Billing Management.

The main goal of SIR Project is to provide complete managed and ad-hoc reporting capabilities on Change point data that support Microsoft Field Services and worldwide business processes.

Responsibilities:     

·   Interacted with the Business users to identify the requirements. 

·   Analysis on source data and data cleansing scenarios.

·   Understood the logical & physical data models designed by using MS SQL Server 2005.

·   Performed different Testing Phases (BVT, Functional, System, and Regression Testing).
